“At first” x “In the beginning” – Parecem iguais, mas não são

As duas expressões falam de começo, mas não são usadas do mesmo jeito.

✅ At first

Usamos quando algo mudou com o tempo.

• At first, I didn’t like English. — No começo, eu não gostava de inglês.

(implícito: agora gosta)

✅ In the beginning

Usamos para falar apenas do início, sem indicar mudança.

• But like I said in the beginning of the class… — Mas como eu disse no começo da aula…

👉 Se é só contexto inicial → in the beginning
